REACH Annex XIV Authorization List

REACH Annex XIV is also called REACH authorization list. It contains a list of substances subject to authorization under EU REACH regulation. Substances on this list are selected from REACH SVHC list and they cannot be placed on the market or used after a given date ("sunset date"), unless an authorization is granted for their specific use, or the use is exempted from authorization.

Reminder: There are 3 important regulatory lists under REACH: REACH SVHC ListREACH Authorization List and REACH Restricted Substance List. Have you read about the other two lists?

Current State of REACH Annex XIV - Authorization List

REACH Annex XIV is updated frequently. Currently the list includes more than 31 Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) such as Trichloroethylene (CAS 79-01-6), Chromium trioxide(CAS 1333-82-0), Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), and Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP), etc.

Impact of REACH Annex XIV - Authorization List

If your are a manufacturer, importer or user of any substance on the authorization list, you may apply for authorization from ECHA for your own use or stop production, importation or use after the sunset date.
